FAQs
General:
Where do you make your pieces? Do you have a shop front?
Everything is hand made my myself out of my bedroom workshop in Vancouver! I do not have a shop front, but will often post on my Instagram when I’ll be attending a market where you can visit me.
Do you make custom pieces?
Yes! Send me a message with your ideas and we can work on some ideas together.
What is your warranty?
There is a 1 year warranty against all manufacturing defects. This excludes any damages from wear and tear, loss of pieces or theft. If you aren’t sure if your piece qualifies, send me a message!
What if I accidentally damaged or have broken my jewellery?
Accidents happen! Send me a message I can see if there is anything that can be done to fix it. I would provide a quote based off of what repairs would be needed.
Do you except returns or exchanges?
There is a 30 day return or exchange policy if pieces are in an undamaged or unworn condition. If your item has been shipped, you are responsible for shipping fees to return. Once I have received the item you will be issued your funds back or sent the new piece for exchange. If you are local, we may be able to meet up at a location instead!
Care & Materials
How should I store and take care of my jewellery?
Wearing your jewellery is the best way to keep it from tarnishing! When not being worn, you can store your sterling silver & bronze piece in an airtight sealed plastic bag to keep it from tarnishing. If it does get tarnished, you can easily re-shine it using a polishing cloth!
To avoid deep scratches or damage, its best to remove your jewellery for sports, exercise or any activity that comes into direct contact with your piece.
I recommend you take off your rings when washing your hands, applying lotion, sanitizing, in the shower etc as these compounds can build up and get stuck in small areas of your jewellery (which are hard to remove!)
Can I wear my jewellery swimming?
Chlorine may effect your pieces, so it is best to remove when in a pool or hot tub.
Fresh or salt water will not damage your piece, however it is easy to lose while swimming! Our fingers shrink up when we get them wet which could result in a loss of a ring in particular.
How should I clean my jewellery?
Warm water, non-scented gentle soft dish soap, and a soft toothbrush goes a long way with cleaning your pieces! If you see discoloration on the metal, it may require a polishing cloth. Simply rub over the metal and it will remove the discoloration.
What materials do you work with?
I am able to work with gold (solid only, no plating), sterling silver & bronze. Gold will not tarnish, however both sterling silver and bronze will tarnish. You can use a polishing cloth to re-shine any pieces that have not been worn in a while!
What is Bronze? Will the colour fade?
Bronze is primarily made using copper & silver. My pieces are made with a yellow bronze alloy. Bronze will oxidize & tarnish similar to silver. These pieces are solid Bronze so the colour will never fade!
